Eternal Hope

Hope
through Christ-centered ministry

Local ministries rooted in faith provide the hope of eternity through preaching, teaching, and serving.

How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent?

Romans 10:14–15 (ESV)

Your generosity directly funds the work of faithful Haitian pastors who are obedient to God's command to preach, teach, and serve, along with prayers that the Spirit will work in hearts and lives within their communities.

Serving Haiti through Christ-Centered Ministry

Video Gallery

See the Ministry

Watch stories from the field — the churches, the pastors, and the people of Haiti.

Serving

In this video see how the church members serve a man that is homeless, probably with dementia, by washing, feeding, and clothing him.

Children of Light

In this Children of Light meeting, the children received bags and clothes sewn by West Michigan women. The bags also included hygiene supplies.

Christmas 2021

Note the black bags at the end of the video — these are part of the food distribution.

Agriculture Day

Agriculture Day is set aside by the Haitian government to teach Haitians how to grow their own food. The churches take this opportunity to teach about the Living Bread and also teach practical strategies for agriculture.

More Christmas

Note how the Christmas meal is delivered. Haha, those of us who've been there would say, "only in Haiti".

Excited about Produce

Most of these farm workers are members of DuParc church. They gather here for a video, eager to show off their crop of watermelons.

Children's Day

Once a year the churches of Haiti celebrate Children's Day and they involve hundreds of children in worship, celebration, a meal, games, and gifts. A church like DuParc may have 20–30 children in the membership. The Children's Day celebration will draw hundreds to hear the gospel.

A Favorite

An antique corn husker (without a motor) was purchased from an old West Michigan barn and shipped to Haiti. Some months later the mechanic added a motor. They went from hand shucking, to corn husker cranking, to motorized! Haitian ingenuity is something to behold!

One Day of Fun

The ministry workers make between $125–$250 USD per month. They live in one room each and work in blazing heat. One day a year, Purposeful Pathways is able to provide them with one day of fun which they could never attain on their own. Thanks to donors for this specific purpose!

From their Lips to God's Ears

This video makes me tear up every time I hear it. I never feel as close to God's people as I do when I am worshipping with Haitians.

Worship at Alpha and Omega Christian Church

Enjoy the men's choir as they lead the congregation in Easter Worship!

Christmas 2025

The Christmas and Easter celebrations are the height of the year for the hundreds of attendees from the churches' local communities.

Caring for Widows

The churches care for widows by building them homes when their children will not or cannot care for them.

Iron Bars and Goats

The facilities are prepared with iron bars to protect the ministry workers while they sleep. The goat picture is included because the kid is cute.

Children of Light

The Children of Light meets every Thursday and for special occasions. On this occasion note that school supplies (and other sundry items) are being handed out.

Sunday School

In this video the youth are having a Sunday School competition to reinforce the learning throughout the year.

Irrigation

When Purposeful Pathways worked with the church at DuParc, one goal was to repair the long-abandoned farm on which the church sits. Water to crops was an initial priority.

Road Repair

Time, hurricanes and heavy rains are hard on roads. See how driveway and road repair happens in Haiti.

Septic Tank, Showers, Toilets

When the septic tank collapsed after the farm was abandoned and the hurricanes had raged without repairs, the septic tank was fixed and two showers and toilets were built on top for use by church, community, and farm workers.

Videos will be added as they become available. Check back soon.
